As police await DNA results in the case, the mother of 2-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers is being held on $350,000 bond, along with a man she was reportedly living with. The child’s whereabouts are unknown, but Trenor has reportedly stated that someone claiming to be a social worker from Ohio took the child from her a few months ago.

According to officials at the Galveston County Jail, 19-year-old Kimberly Dawn Trenor and 24-year-old Royce Clyde Zeigler II, are charged with injury to a child and tampering with evidence.

The Galveston County medical examiner has said Baby Grace suffered at least one skull fracture, and had died two weeks before her body was found. A fisherman found the plastic container with the child’s body inside when it washed ashore on October 29th. Robert Sawyers, the father of Riley Ann, has told police in Mentor, Ohio that his daughter and her mother moved to Texas from Ohio earlier this year after Trenor met Zeigler online.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s office will hold a news conference on Monday morning to discuss developments in the case.
