The incident that took place on Thursday has been making headlines ever since, but Simpson wasn’t arrested in the case until Sunday morning.

The charges against Simpson include: robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary with a firearm. Police say more charges are expected to follow against Simpson. A second suspect is also charged in the case.

The 60-year-old former NFL star was acquitted in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. He was later found guilty in a civil case and ordered to pay the victim’s families millions.

Thursday’s incident at the Palace Station Casino involved sports memorabilia Simpson reportedly claimed had been stolen from him in the past, that he was recovering.
