The deaths of 14 U. S. soldiers in Iraq, so far in June, comes on the heels of one of the deadliest months for the U. S. military since the war began.
The latest deaths were blamed on three seperate roadside bombings and a suicide bombing near Baghdad, along with a series of other attacks across the war-torn country.
With 127 deaths reported, May 2007 proved to be the third most deadly month for U. S. troops since the war began.
It was also a deadly weekend for Iraqi citizens. Scores were reported killed in bombings on public areas and other attacks, in which many more were wounded.
