Despite strict Portuguese laws regarding the release of details in ongoing police investigations, new details are emerging about a possible suspect in the abduction case of British four-year-old Madeleine McCann.

As the search for Maddy enters its fourth weekend, her family continues its intense campaign to bring her safely home, and are applauding the police for releasing information about the suspect.

The new police details revealed this week describe a white male suspect, aged 35 - 40, who was reportedly seen with what looked like a child in his arms at the Praia da Luz resort, on the same day McCann was reported missing.

McCann has been missing since May 3. Her parents last saw her asleep in their vacation apartment, before they went to a restaurant close-by.
